These terms are an agreement between you and Lexeum Private Limited, Mumbai, India ("Lexeum", "we", "us") for your use of the Lexeum mobile app and lexeum.app (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the higher minimum age required in your country). If you are under 18, you confirm a parent or guardian has agreed to these terms on your behalf.
Lexeum is a vocabulary-learning app: a curated library of word entries with illustrations, definitions, audio, literary examples, exercises and spaced-repetition reviews. Your first 25 words are free, with every feature included. No account is required; signing in (Google or Apple) is optional and enables cloud backup of your progress. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app and its content for your own learning. The app, the Lexeum name and mark, and the library content (illustrations, definitions, notes, audio recordings and exercises) belong to Lexeum Private Limited or its licensors. Quoted literary passages remain attributed to their authors.
You may not copy, scrape, extract, redistribute or resell the library content; reverse-engineer the app except where the law allows it despite this term; or use the Service to build a competing dataset or product.
The library grows and changes over time. We may add, modify or remove content and features, and we do not guarantee any particular amount, frequency or availability of new content. We may suspend or discontinue the Service (in whole or part) with reasonable notice where practicable; if you have an active subscription and we discontinue the Service, your remedy is the store's refund process for any unused period, where its rules provide one.
Don't misuse the Service: no unlawful use, no interfering with or overloading our systems, no automated access or bulk downloading, no circumventing the free-tier or subscription controls, and no misrepresenting your identity to us.
You are responsible for the sign-in account you connect. You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account in Settings; deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription, which you must cancel separately in your store account settings. We may suspend or terminate access that breaches these terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents us.
Lexeum is an educational tool, provided "as is" and "as available". We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or promise any particular learning outcome. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot be excluded under the laws of your country of residence, including consumer-protection laws.
To the extent permitted by law, Lexeum Private Limited will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, and our total liability arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited (for example, for fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence).
Your download is also governed by the store's own terms. For App Store downloads, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to the app licence, and these terms supplement it; if they conflict about that licence, Apple's terms control. Apple is not a party to these terms, is not responsible for the app or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. For Google Play downloads, Google is not a party to these terms; Lexeum, not Google, is responsible for the app and its support, and Google Play's terms of service also apply.
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. We'll post changes here and update the date above; for material changes we'll give notice in the app. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Mumbai have jurisdiction — except that if you are a consumer in a country whose law gives you mandatory rights or a home venue, those remain yours.
